Today I am consumed by all things gardening. Emma and I made one trip to Suburban Lawn & Garden, and two trips to Lowe's. Our tomato seeds are started, and our other seeds are ordered. Here is the final list of everything I am growing this year:

potatoes
tomatoes
asparagus
green beans
spinach
sunflowers
basil
chamomile
raspberries
blueberries
watermelon
pumpkins

The watermelon and pumpkins are iffy, because I just got little kiddie gardening cups of those and Emma planted them herself. I was hoping to have garlic, sage, and lavender, but I have missed the planting time for those. I'll remember that for next year.

I am SO excited!

It's not too late for lavender & sage, unless maybe you meant from seed. You can find plants locally.

You rock. Where did you get your raspberry seeds? Mark wants to plant some. I need tons of advice from you, okay? : )

Hey, Julie, you can't really get raspberry seeds anywhere. I looked a bunch of places and only found plants, not seeds, so I finally called the JoCo Master Gardener hotline to ask them about it. They said for some reason no one sells seeds, and it usually takes three years for the plants to produce from seeds anyway. I saw plants at Lowe's for about $9. When I get mine, I think I'm just going to repot them in a really big pot so they don't start taking over everything else, which I heard can be a problem.

Sarah, don't you feel cool, getting questions like a gardening expert?!
