The night weaning process is over and was a complete success, BUT - now Emma is waking up at 7:00-7:30 in the morning, which is not good. I certainly do not want to get up that early every day, plus she is getting crabby from lack of sleep. At first the whole thing was not nursing in the bed, but a couple days she was up at 6:00, wanting to go out to the couch to nurse. Then I told her we could nurse in the bed, but only when it was sunny outside. The trouble? It gets sunny long before I actually want to get up. It wouldn't be so bad, but it's been taking forever to get her to sleep at night so she's not going to bed any earlier at all. Hopefully this is just an adjustment period and we'll soon be back to sleeping in a little more.

Yesterday I got to go to the yarn store and spend the giftcard I got for my birthday. Yay! I got this

to make this bag, and this

to make this sweater, sans the stripes. The sweater will be the biggest project I've attempted to date, so I'm a tad nervous.

Yesterday I worked on weeding the garden for twenty minutes, and I swear to myself I will never weed the garden without applying bug spray first. My legs look like a bad case of the chicken pox, and are equally itchy. I also promised myself that I would spend 20 minutes every day weeding, but already I'm not doing so well because I never did it today. Sigh.

Now that you're getting up so early, you and Emma can weed from 7:30 until 7:50am, and feel proud all day!
ps We just had a birthday lunch at Julie's and Julie helped Kay and Mary Enloe make cleaners from Clean House, Clean Planet--more thanks to you!

You need to teach Emma how to tell time with a digital clock. My life got much easier once Allison could identify the number 8 :-)
