I finished Emma's quilt! I think it turned out pretty well for my first quilt ever. It's kind of a random size, and I think when I do Noah's I will try to make his to fit a twin bed so we can use it on the bunk beds, should we ever actually get those up. I used a wool/cotton blend batting so it will be warm, and she was already using it today, even though it's like 100 sweltering degrees outside and not exactly quilt weather. The pattern is from Amy Karol's Bend-the-Rules Sewing, my current favorite book, although mine is larger than the book suggests. It was so easy, and fun. I can't wait to start on Noah's!

Dinner was stir-fry with brown rice. Mmmmmm.

Oh, it's just perfect! I love it.

I finally can get my sewing machine set up this weekend and do a bit. But I'd love to learn to quilt.

The quilt is just so beautiful, and pink and green are always great together. Emma looks so happy underneath it too. Stir fries are always delicious and so quick to make too.
