The weather is getting chillier by the day, and Emma refuses to wear pants. Fine with me, but I'm getting a little tired of hearing her complain about being cold everywhere we go. She'll sometimes wear tights, sometimes not. I wonder if she's going to eventually give in to the cold of if she'll go through the entire winter with bare, freezing little legs. That girl is completely obsessed with clothes. This morning I heard her talking in her sleep, saying, "This one is more spinnier. Oh, that is the most beautiful dress I've ever seen." This afternoon she asked me when Noah's birthday is going to be. When I told her it was about five months away, she said, "Well, should we talk about what I'm going to wear on his birthday?" Easily sixty percent of her waking hours are spent either changing clothes, or talking about clothes.
Yesterday we baked monkey bread. I had never made that before, but I will definitely be making it again. I subbed whole wheat pastry flour for regular flour and it turned out great, although still not anywhere even close to being healthy.

Have I mentioned that I love Martha Stewart? I never paid any attention to her until recently when I stumbled upon her website. It is a great resource for cooking, crafts, and other useful tidbits. Last week I subscribed to both her Everyday Living and her Everyday Food magazine. I can't wait to start receiving them! (Here's a tip. If you ever want to get a new magazine, or renew one you already get, look on eBay. You can buy subscriptions to almost any magazine there for dirt cheap.)

Happy Friday!

It seems like Emma must have inherited her clothes-loving genes from some obscure branch of the family!

I love, love, love Monkey Bread. We've made it since before I can remember. I always eat too much and feel sick, but it is so worth it!

I also love Everyday Foods. I haven't gotten the magazine but I really like to watch the show on PBS and I think I've printed just about every recipe from the website.

Have you (or anyone else) had success with buying subscriptions to magazines from eBay? I'm always worried that the magazine won't come.

I've just recently found your blog, but I am very glad I did! =]

...and good luck with your little fashionista during the winter ;] ...

I love monkey bread-my mom used to make it for us, I have never been that ambitious.

drizzle, I have had good luck with magazines from eBay. Right now I get I think six different magazines that
I've ordered through eBay. The only one that I ordered that never showed up was Family Fun, but I think I only paid something like 1.99 for one year anyway.

I'm glad you found it too!
