I've been having some issues with Noah lately. He is so sweet and cute and I love how he says new words every day and how he gets so excited about tractors and how he says, "Hi, moff." whenever he sees a moth and how he takes multiple baths every day because he loves them so much and how he looks so proud when he puts on Emma's clothes. BUT...

He is into everything. Always. He doesn't stop. Ever. For example, tonight while I was trying to cook dinner, he decided he wanted to bring Jose's food and water from the kitchen into the living room. Before I realized what he was doing, he spilled the water all over the kitchen floor. While I was cleaning that up, he somehow managed to sneak by me with the bowlful of dog food and fling it all into the living room, where a lot of it fell into and got lost in two baskets of clean laundry that were waiting to be folded. While I was cleaning that up, he pushed a chair over to the kitchen sink and splashed around in the dishes that were there, making another big mess in the process. When I stopped him from doing that, he ran to the bathroom and dragged toilet paper all over the house. Dude. Stop messing with stuff!

He also wants to nurse constantly. All day long I hear this ringing in my ears, and it sounds exactly like a little voice going, "Nurse. Nuuuuurrrrse. Nuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrse." I don't want him to wean yet, but really, I could do with a little less nursing.

He is also still doing the hitting thing when he plays with other little kids, although maybe not quite as much. And, as always, I simply just cannot get that kid to sleep.

He's lucky he's cute.

He is extremely cute! These are the difficult years, Sarah. I am feeling it too. I've been through it before with the older ones. I don't feel I have any special perspective, but I do realize just how fast these years really do fly by. I guess it helps me keep things in perspective a little. Hang in there!

That's what I have to look forward to with a boy huh?! I already sense Grayson's need for destruction....I think I'm in for it too!
Noah is such a little doll face! I love the "grrrrrrr" face picture! Hilarious! Hang in there! I love reading your blog too! It makes me smile!

ahh, great post! He sure is cute, even when he's ornery.

What's that quote, cleaning up after toddlers is like snow shoveling during a blizzard. Meredith was like that - I'd be cleaning up one disaster that she was singularly responsible for, and while I was doing that, she'd be off destroying something else. Many many days were just this same thing, over and over again.

Wish I could do more than just chuckle - I have no advice. In time Meredith got better, and so well Noah.

He does look and sound like a very busy guy. Glad you can mostly see thru the busy-ness and smile!

We used to say what Deanna says about the snowing. I'd just comment to dh that it was 'snowing' and it helped relieve some of the stress behind the constant-ness of it.

so you're tandem nursing? that is tough. i did that with joel and michael and it was like i was in my Jesus on the Cross (not to be blasphemous) pose in bed with one kid on each boob and sometimes me crying. i'm looking forward to tandeming again come october since eva seems to be pretty good-natured and will probably want neh-neh alongside the baby!
